Summary

This study is testing whether butyrate enemas can help control ulcerative colitis in Hispanic children aged 7 to 21 with mild-to-moderate disease. Butyrate is a natural substance made by gut bacteria that may reduce inflammation. The goal is to see if it can lower disease activity scores and improve markers of inflammation.
