Glowing dye could help surgeons see dead tissue in burns

NCT ID NCT05593523

Summary

This study is testing a special fluorescent dye and camera system to help surgeons better see dead tissue in burn wounds. The goal is to give doctors a clearer picture during surgery, which could help them remove only the damaged tissue and improve healing. Up to 100 burn patients will participate to see if this imaging method provides useful information for planning and performing surgery.
