Battlefield burn treatment breakthrough tested
NCT ID NCT05069922
Summary
This study tested whether using fresh frozen plasma (FFP) works better than albumin (a common protein solution) when treating people with severe burns. Researchers wanted to see if FFP helps patients recover with fewer complications, like lung problems, and reduces the total amount of fluid needed. The findings could help improve emergency care for burn victims, especially in military situations where evacuation is delayed.
