Scientists hunt for clues in blood to stop deadly infections after burns

NCT ID NCT07223684

Summary

This study aims to better understand how the body recovers from serious burns and to identify early warning signs for dangerous infections like sepsis. Researchers will follow 80 adult patients with major burns, collecting small blood samples and reviewing their medical records during their hospital stay and for one year after. The goal is to use this information to build computer models that could one day help doctors predict and prevent complications in burn patients.
