New study seeks to protect veterans from burn pit cancer risks

NCT ID NCT07485322

Summary

This study aims to see if an intensive, yearly cancer screening program is practical and acceptable for veterans who were exposed to burn pits during military service. It will enroll 100 veterans to undergo multiple screening tests over three years. The research will also explore whether new tools, like a special blood test and nasal swab, can help detect cancer early in this group.
