Scientists track hidden bacterial shifts in burn patients for 2 years
NCT ID NCT07209007
Summary
This study aims to understand how severe burns change the community of bacteria in a person's skin and gut over time. Researchers will follow 600 burn patients for two years, collecting skin and stool samples to compare with healthy people. The goal is to learn how these bacterial changes relate to skin healing and overall health, which could guide better future care.
