NCT ID NCT07422623

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a sock and sleeve with special semiconductors that may help reduce pain and swelling after bunion surgery. About 115 adults aged 18 to 75 who are having bunion correction surgery will wear either the active sleeve or a placebo. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach improves recovery and foot function.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

semiconductor-embedded ankle sleeve and sock

What this could lead to

If it works, this could provide a drug-free way to reduce pain and speed recovery after bunion surgery.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with no phase designation. The device may not work better than a placebo, and results may not apply to all patients.
