First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining mindfulness meditation with non-invasive brain stimulation can strengthen attention and memory in healthy adults and people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Using a brain-computer interface that reads brain waves in real time, participants get feedback to improve their focus during memory tasks. The goal is to see if these techniques can build cognitive reserve, potentially delaying age-related decline.
