Can a simple nasal spray bring back the scents COVID stole?
NCT ID NCT04361474
Summary
This study tested whether a steroid nasal spray (budesonide) could help people regain their sense of smell after having COVID-19. It involved 120 adults who had lost their smell for at least 30 days after infection but had no other severe symptoms. The goal was to see if this common treatment could improve a frustrating and persistent side effect of the virus.
