New 'Quit Stick' aims to break the Hand-to-Mouth habit for smokers with cancer

NCT ID NCT07455513

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-medication tool called the Buckeye Quit Stick to help people with lung cancer quit smoking. The device is designed to replace the physical habit of holding and smoking a cigarette, which can be a major barrier to quitting. Researchers will enroll 30 current smokers from a specific cancer clinic to see if using the stick is practical and acceptable, and to gather initial feedback on whether it helps.
