Glow-Up for jaundice: new light blanket could make baby treatment cozier
NCT ID NCT04365998
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 31, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests a new light therapy device called BUBOLight® for treating jaundice in newborns. Jaundice is common and usually harmless, but sometimes requires light treatment to prevent brain damage. The device uses soft, fabric light strips to treat the baby, and the study will check if it is safe, comfortable, and liked by parents and doctors. About 15 babies will receive one 4-hour session, and their bilirubin levels will be measured to see how well the treatment works.
