Liver function may change how anxiety drug works in body

NCT ID NCT07457190

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early-stage study looks at how the body processes buagafuran, an experimental anxiety drug, in people with liver impairment compared to those with normal liver function. About 24 adults will take a single dose and have their blood levels and safety monitored. The goal is to understand if liver problems affect drug breakdown, not to treat anxiety directly.
