Simple posture exercise may ease chronic neck pain
NCT ID NCT07669844
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether adding Bruegger's exercises—a set of posture-correcting movements—to standard neck exercises can reduce pain and improve head posture in people with chronic neck pain and forward head posture. Twenty-four adults will be randomly assigned to either standard care alone or standard care plus Bruegger's training. Researchers will measure pain, posture angle, and neck function over the course of the trial.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Bruegger's exercise
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to reduce chronic neck pain and improve forward head posture.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-stage trial with only 24 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The exercises may not provide significant benefit over standard care alone.
