Doctors seek perfect timing for lung wash to help kids breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07437183

Summary

This study aims to find the best time to perform a bronchoscopy, a procedure to wash out the lungs, in children with severe pneumonia. Researchers will compare giving the procedure early (within 24 hours), later (within 72 hours), or not at all, alongside standard medical care. The goal is to see which timing helps children recover faster, spend less time in the hospital, and breathe more easily.
