Doctors use tiny camera to solve mystery of Kids' untreatable pneumonia

NCT ID NCT07421440

Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure called a bronchoscopy can help doctors find the cause of pneumonia in children who are not getting better with standard antibiotics. The procedure uses a thin, flexible tube with a camera to look inside the lungs and collect fluid samples. Researchers hope this will lead to better diagnoses and more targeted treatments for these seriously ill children in the intensive care unit.
