Scientists probe mucus barrier to unlock new lung treatment

NCT ID NCT06670937

Summary

This study aims to understand how the thick mucus in the lungs of people with bronchiectasis might block a potential new inhaled antibody treatment. Researchers will collect mucus samples from 30 adult patients to test in the lab how well the treatment can move through the mucus and fight bacteria. The goal is to gather information to help design better inhaled therapies for this chronic lung disease.
