Special heart scans reveal hidden damage in 'Broken Heart' patients
NCT ID NCT07491718
Summary
This study aims to better understand takotsubo cardiomyopathy, often called 'broken heart syndrome,' which causes sudden heart weakness usually triggered by stress. Researchers will use a special MRI dye called manganese to see how different heart medications affect the heart muscle in 100 patients. The goal is to learn why symptoms sometimes persist even when standard scans appear normal.
