First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a supplement made from broccoli can help muscles heal faster after intense exercise. Seventeen healthy adults who haven't done resistance training in the past 6 months will take either the broccoli supplement or a placebo for a week, then do a special arm exercise to cause muscle soreness. Researchers will measure strength, soreness, and other signs of recovery over the next few days.
