New drug aims to keep insulin cells working longer in type 1 diabetes

Summary
This study tests a new drug called brivekimig in people recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The goal is to see if it can help preserve the body's ability to make some insulin, reducing the need for injected insulin. About 84 adults and adolescents will receive either the drug or a placebo for 52 weeks, and their insulin production will be measured.
