New light device aims to make epidurals safer and easier

Summary
This study tests a new device called BrightPoint that uses light to help doctors confirm they have placed an epidural needle in the right spot during lumbar spine surgery. About 36 adults having this type of procedure will take part. The device is not meant to replace the current method, but to provide an extra check and possibly help train new doctors.
