First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to help children with epilepsy in Nigeria who often go without treatment. Specially trained community health workers provided care instead of doctors. Over 1,600 children took part, and the goal was to see if more kids could become seizure-free for at least six months. The approach aims to close the treatment gap in low-income areas.
