New shot could boost opioid recovery success

Summary
This study tests whether adding an experimental drug called brenipatide to standard treatment (buprenorphine) helps people with opioid use disorder stay off opioids longer. About 465 participants will receive either brenipatide or a placebo injection over many weeks. The goal is to see if the combination leads to more weeks of abstinence from opioid use.
