Summary
This study tested whether a new approach combining brief sessions of low-oxygen breathing with intense arm training could improve hand and arm function for people with spinal cord injuries. Researchers worked with 58 participants who had chronic, non-progressive injuries to see if this month-long program could help with daily tasks like gripping and coordination. The goal was to strengthen the remaining nerve connections in the spinal cord to maximize the benefits of physical training.
