Can a simple breathing technique boost strength for MS patients?
NCT ID NCT06390930
Summary
This study is testing a breathing treatment called Acute Intermittent Hypoxia (AIH) to see if it can improve arm and hand function in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Participants will breathe brief periods of low oxygen, which has been shown in early research to safely increase muscle strength in people with MS. Researchers will measure changes in arm strength, hand control, and brain-to-muscle signals before and after the breathing sessions to understand how it works.
