First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether adding special breathing exercises (Pilates or diaphragmatic breathing) to regular treadmill walking can lower blood pressure, improve lung function, and boost quality of life in people with pre-hypertension. About 45 adults aged 20-55 with slightly high blood pressure will be split into three groups and followed for 6 weeks. The goal is to find simple lifestyle steps that may prevent full-blown hypertension.
