New breathing training offers hope for severe COPD sufferers
NCT ID NCT07001462
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of breathing muscle training and pressure therapy could help people with severe, frequently-flaring COPD. 61 participants either received this breathing training along with their usual care, or just their usual care alone. Researchers measured lung function, breathing muscle strength, walking ability, and breathlessness over three months to see if the training made a difference.
