Remote breathing exercises tested to help pompe patients breathe easier

NCT ID NCT05431127

Summary

This study tested whether a remote, high-dose breathing muscle training program is safe and helpful for adults with late-onset Pompe disease. Researchers worked with 34 participants to see if strengthening breathing muscles could improve respiratory function, reduce fatigue, and enhance quality of life. The goal was to find a cost-effective add-on treatment to help manage the breathing difficulties common in this condition.
