New breathing exercise targets deadly swallowing risk in Parkinson's
NCT ID NCT07268703
Summary
This study is testing a breathing exercise program to help people with Parkinson's disease who have a forward-leaning posture. The training aims to strengthen breathing muscles to improve cough strength, swallowing safety, and reduce drooling. Researchers want to see if this non-drug approach can lower the risk of dangerous lung infections, which are a leading cause of death in this group.
