Could breathing exercises be the next step in heart recovery?
NCT ID NCT06127147
Summary
This study tested whether a special breathing exercise program could improve blood vessel health in people recovering from heart surgery. Eleven patients who had coronary artery bypass surgery were randomly assigned to do either real or pretend breathing exercises for four weeks. Researchers measured blood vessel function and stiffness before and after to see if the training helped beyond standard care.
