Can simple breathing exercises help a rare nerve disease?
NCT ID NCT06539598
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week program of breathing exercises could help people with Friedreich's ataxia swallow more safely and breathe better. Researchers measured lung strength and swallowing ability before and after the training in one participant. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could ease some of the breathing and swallowing difficulties caused by the disease.
