This study tested whether a special breathing exercise, called flow-resistive inspiratory muscle training, could reduce the severity of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) in athletes with asthma. Fifteen competitive cyclists or athletes aged 18-35 completed the training and were measured on lung function, breathing effort, and cycling performance.
