Breathe your way to a healthier brain? new study tests 5-Minute daily exercise
NCT ID NCT07406295
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, 8-week breathing exercise program can improve brain blood flow and reduce harmful inflammation in otherwise healthy adults with obesity. Researchers will enroll 30 participants to use a special breathing device for a few minutes daily, measuring brain function and immune markers before and after. The goal is to see if this time-efficient 'weightlifting for breathing muscles' can help counteract some negative health effects of obesity.
