Could simple breathing exercises speed up recovery after a lung transplant?
NCT ID NCT06370832
Summary
This study is testing whether a special breathing exercise program can help people waiting for a lung transplant. The goal is to see if strengthening the breathing muscles before surgery helps patients recover faster afterward, potentially needing less time on a breathing machine and spending fewer days in the hospital. Researchers will compare the exercise program to standard care in 90 participants to see if it's practical and beneficial.
