Summary

This study tests a combination of two non-invasive treatments—spinal cord stimulation and special breathing exercises—to improve breathing in people with chronic spinal cord injury. Researchers aim to strengthen the muscles used for breathing and identify biomarkers to predict who benefits most. The study involves 20 adults with incomplete spinal cord injuries and lasts about 16 weeks.
