New therapy aims to help COPD patients breathe easier
NCT ID NCT05506202
Summary
This study tested a type of physiotherapy called Basic Body Awareness Therapy (BBAT) as an add-on treatment for people with COPD. The goal was to see if this mind-body approach could help patients better manage their chronic shortness of breath (dyspnea) and improve their daily life. Researchers worked with 25 Chinese-speaking COPD patients to measure changes in breathing difficulty, walking ability, and confidence in managing their condition.
