NCT ID NCT05571982

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at 58 adults having surgery under general anesthesia. Researchers compared two breathing techniques—tidal volume breathing (normal breaths) and vital capacity breathing (deep breaths)—while using high-flow nasal oxygen before anesthesia. The goal was to see which method keeps oxygen levels higher. The trial is complete, and results may help improve pre-surgery oxygen delivery.
