First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a pulmonary rehabilitation program guided by exercise testing works better than standard physiotherapy for people with dysfunctional breathing. 78 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The goal is to see which approach improves breathing patterns and symptoms more effectively.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Respiratory physiotherapy and pulmonary rehabilitation
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a tailored exercise and breathing program works better than standard physiotherapy for people with dysfunctional breathing.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 78 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The study compares two non-drug treatments, so any benefit is likely modest.
