First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether different ways of breathing out (pursed-lip breathing with ratios 1:3, 1:4, or 1:5) can help people with COPD breathe easier. About 122 adults aged 40+ with stable COPD will try one of these breathing patterns for 10 minutes. Researchers will measure breathing rate, oxygen levels, and shortness of breath before and after to find the most helpful ratio.
