Doctors test High-Tech scan to Fine-Tune breathing support

NCT ID NCT06996665

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of ultrasound measurement, called the Diaphragmatic Physiology Similarity Index (DPSI), can help doctors choose the best oxygen flow setting for a breathing machine. Researchers will observe 100 adults in the intensive care unit (ICU) with severe breathing failure. The goal is to see if this measurement provides useful information to personalize treatment, not to test a new drug or cure.
