Gentler breathing for preemies: study tests slower lung inflation

NCT ID NCT07101419

Summary

This study aims to find the gentlest way to help extremely premature babies breathe using a machine. It will compare two settings that control how quickly the machine inflates the baby's lungs: a fast setting currently used and a slower, potentially gentler one. Researchers will measure the baby's oxygen levels to see if the slower setting works as well. The goal is to gather evidence to reduce lung damage in these fragile infants.
