Can laughing and breathing exercises help people breathe easier?
NCT ID NCT05997550
Summary
This study tested whether two simple, non-drug therapies could help people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) feel better. Researchers compared two groups: one practiced a special breathing technique, another did laughter therapy, and a third received general lung education. The goal was to see if these practices could reduce shortness of breath, improve overall health, and help patients feel less dependent on care over 12 weeks.
