Calm breath, clear scan: simple technique could ease MRI fears
NCT ID NCT07309328
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, guided breathing exercise can help people who feel claustrophobic get through an MRI scan. Researchers want to see if this calming technique leads to more successful scans with clearer pictures, compared to the usual distractions like music or cartoons. They will enroll 220 patients, including children aged 7 and older, who report feeling claustrophobic.
