Can a special gas help soldiers breathe and think better?
NCT ID NCT07424014
Summary
This study aims to understand if making breathing physically easier improves a person's focus and reaction time, especially under stressful conditions relevant to military personnel. Researchers will have 15 healthy, fit adults breathe through a device that makes breathing harder, while using either normal air or a special helium-oxygen mix designed to reduce effort. They will measure how hard breathing feels and how well participants perform on attention and reaction tests.
