Scientists sniff out new way to check dialysis

NCT ID NCT07189741

Summary

This study aims to see if tiny chemicals in a person's breath can be used as a simple, non-invasive way to check if a dialysis session worked properly. Researchers will collect breath and blood samples from about 22 people on dialysis and 23 healthy adults to compare the chemical changes. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to easier monitoring for people with kidney failure in the future.
