Summary

This study looked at whether chemicals in the breath (VOCs) can be linked to blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Twenty adults with diabetes had their breath analyzed while their blood sugar was changed using glucose drinks, insulin, and a meal. The goal is to develop a simple breath test that could replace finger pricks for glucose monitoring.
