Breath and DNA tests could personalize prostate cancer radiation

NCT ID NCT04081428

First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether breath, DNA, and imaging can help doctors predict how prostate cancer and healthy tissues react to a precise type of radiation called SBRT. Sixty men with low- or intermediate-risk prostate cancer will provide breath and blood samples before and after each of five radiation sessions. The goal is to find ways to personalize treatment to improve cure rates and reduce side effects.
