Your Child's breath may hold clues to hidden illnesses

NCT ID NCT04461821

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study is exploring whether analyzing the chemicals in a child's breath can help detect or monitor diseases like asthma, brain disorders, and type 1 diabetes. Researchers will collect breath samples from up to 3,600 children and teens to look for patterns linked to these conditions. The goal is to develop a simple, non-invasive tool for diagnosis and tracking, not to test a treatment.
