First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special texting program (TEAM2BF) designed for African-American/Black expectant mothers helps them breastfeed longer compared to a general health texting program. About 80 mothers and their babies took part. The goal was to see if the texts were helpful and if more mothers were still breastfeeding at 2 months after giving birth.
