New MRI scanner aims to improve breast cancer measurement
NCT ID NCT07492043
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of MRI scanner, called Field-Cycling Imaging (FCI), to see if it can accurately measure the size of a breast cancer called ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). About 12 women with DCIS will have both a standard MRI and an FCI scan before surgery. The results will be compared to the actual tumor size from surgery to see if FCI works well.
