New pain block may beat standard for mastectomy recovery

Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks given before breast cancer surgery to see which one controls pain better afterward. About 70 women having a mastectomy will receive either a newer block (SPSIP) or a standard one (SAP). The goal is to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers like opioids.
